MoVi-Corpus Incentivizes Mobile TV Audience with unique Loyalty Coupons.
Amsterdam, Sept 9, 2009- MoVi, Mumbai-based creative Aggregator of Mobisodes, has teamed up with Corpus Media Labs, US Telecom solutions provider, to launch "MoVi- Corpus, Video-on-demand unicast Content bouquet" for broadband mobile users. The collective offering, which will initially benefit mobile operators in seven Asian countries, is being flagged off at IBC 2009 in Amsterdam on September 10.
Original 300-second duration mobisodes are custom-produced for direct pull delivery from smartphones; intended to give 3G cellular operators a value-added opportunity to increase the average Revenue per user, while loyalty coupons serve to retain customers on the mobile operator's network, thus reducing churn factor.
"Our MoVi-Corpus joint portfolio for 3G platform is a premium mix of video on demand and value added services, a World first; to benefit Creators, Carriers and Consumers in value chain of convergence," says Amit Dev,co-founder of Movi, a venture of India-based Third Generation Mobile Pvt.Ltd.
Meta-tags on video clips enable mobile consumers, for example, to click through on options to buy the original video or soundtrack or to book tickets for films. Contests enable them to cash in on special offers at coffee shops while cross-promotional tie-ups could prompt a subscriber viewing a video recipe to buy packaged ingredients from supermarket.
"This joint package truly leverages all the essential skillsets and learning's by experts for tailor-made solution strategy for matching mobile media advertisers with specific client needs," adds Sachin Tummala, co-founder of Corpus Media Labs from America.
Telecom carriers will be rubbing shoulders with content creators at IBC booth (Z87, please put correct number here) from September 10 to 14. The joint effort addresses the need profile of the carriers with the creative superiority of the content partners as the essence of articulated revenue share based arrangements.
