Corpus Inc., one of the fastest growing IT service firms based in Dallas, Texas, has made inroads into the French market with a new client win - AFDESI (L'Association Française des Développeurs, Editeurs et Fournisseurs de Services en télévision Interactive), the Association of the French interactive television Developers, Publishers and Service Providers. The association was formed to promote interactive television services on all channels, including satellite, cable and digital terrestrial.
Corpus has been invited to become one of the partners in an initiative led by AFDESI for the development of multiplayer platforms for DTV, IPTV, Mobile TV and other mobile platforms. The resulting standard solution has to be interoperable and will be recommended to various digital TV platform developers, mobile TV companies and Telecom companies.
The entire working group will consist of fifteen of the top technology providers in France including mobile TV providers (Expway), content/game/applications providers (HTTV, Corpus), STB manufacturers (IDway), middleware providers for IPTV and DRM/CAS (openTV, NDS) and interactive broadcasters for games and gambling (Visiware, Equidia) and software tool providers for IPTV, DTV, and Mobile (NPTV, Club Internet).
