DALLAS, Texas (Sept. 1st), 2005)--Corpus, Inc., has appointed Mehran Shahsavar to be the company’s Chief Technology Officer.
 

Shahsavar brings more than 15 years’ experience in managing, developing and executing information technology systems within the wireless, high tech and financial services industries to Corpus, a global IT Services firm that has been providing high-quality, process-based software solutions to Fortune 500 clients since 1999.

“Mehran will be a strong asset to our executive management team and we welcome him aboard,” said Sachin Tummala, CEO of Corpus. “We expect him to have a very positive impact on our culture and work environment as he is highly energetic, analytical, and exceedingly experienced in various aspects of the IT industry. His abilities to resolve complex technical problems through simple solutions and to build and motivate strong teams are impressive.”

Shahsavar comes to Corpus from Cingular/AT&T, where he was vice president of IT systems since 2003. In this role, he integrated multiple disparate application systems resulting from prior corporate mergers and rapid growth. He also recruited to manage internal IT development and systems during corporate transition and the biggest acquisition of AT&T Wireless by Cingular communications.

Prior to that position, Cingular/AT&T Wireless, Shahsavar was director of process engineering at Merrill Lynch. He also has held managerial posts at Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley International, and Goldman Sachs International. Shahsavar also played a pivotal role in managing IT recovery after the Sept. 11 disaster in New York City and in the Dockland bombing in London, UK.

At Corpus, reporting to Tummala, Shahsavar will spearhead the firm’s venture into the creation of new products and services for our current and future clients and will be responsible for Centers of Excellence in US and India. Shahsavar will ensure that we identify our most important technology opportunities and challenges and that we address them promptly and effectively. Shahsavar has a degree in computer and business studies along with a Research Diploma from Leeds, United Kingdom.
