c-COMMUNIQUÉ

THE SOLUTION SUMMARY

The Corpus Communiqué platform architecture provides functions that mediate interaction between the services of the communication, application, multimedia servers and the Set Top Box that delivers services to the television set.

The Communiqué platform will be used for information of new product launches (up-selling and cross-selling). For instance, messages prompting the customer to use VOD more and explaining how to browse through the VOD portal will arrive in the customer’s inbox through the Communiqué system.

The advantage of Communiqué platform is that it will prompt users about the benefits of the digital product and hence drive the sentiment that they are getting value for money. Not only will both solutions reduce churn but also raise customer’s knowledge about the product and usage of video-on-demand (VOD), Hi-Definition Television (HDTV) and Interactive Television (iTV). For instance if a customer has not purchased an on-demand movie, they should be targeted with a message highlighting a limited time offer to purchase on-demand movies at half price.

Enabling the TV to become a device for communication and interaction allows operators to differentiate their service bundles from their competitors attracting new consumers and reducing churn. Corpus is combining it’s expertise in telecommunication and iTV sector to provide the TV users to experience multimedia, communication and information on the TV.
